Map and Information Brochure 2017

The June Art and Craft Ramble in Wakkerstroom will again hold an inspiring competition for school-going children. We urge parents, teachers and guardians to encourage children to submit a drawing, painting, or a 3D art work. Suggested art work can also be made from various media, be it a wood carving, a wire work item, papier maché, or any art made from recycled materials. The art submitted needs to fit the theme of Handprints and Footprints.
Should there however be any entrant who doesn’t have access to A4 paper who wants to draw or paint, please visit DeKotzenhof or Wakkerstroom Central with the child, to request materials.
Entries are to be delivered to either DeKotzenhof or Wakkerstroom Central. Please ensure the child’s name, age, school, parents name and contact numbers are clearly attached to the entry.
Children entering the competition are encouraged to join Carol and Kristi on “Youth day”, Friday, 16th June at Papillon Venue, from 09:00 to 11:00 where, for a fee of R5.00 children may be guided to produce an entry for the competition.
At 11:30 the Marimba players from Esizameleni will perform on their Marimba’s at Papillon Venue, all are encouraged to stay and enjoy the music.
The closing date for art work entries is the 16th of June.
Judging will take place on the 17th June.
We ask that if anyone would like to donate a prize or two for a child, to please contact the organisers.
Once again the entries will be on display and the public will vote for the winners. Prize winners will be announced at 3:30 on Saturday afternoon, 17th June 2017 at the Old Bioscope/ Cinema, Wakkerstroom at the Prize Giving/Auction in aid of Reach for a Dream.
