Newcastle Ponds in conjunction with Birdlife Northern Natal
Remember our special outing to the Newcastle Ponds in conjunction with Birdlife Northern Natal on Saturday, 8 February, We’ll leave from the Wakkerstroom Library at 07h00 sharp.
The road to the pods is tarred all the way, but if we want to go onto Arcelor – Mittal property, high rise or 4×4 vehicles are required. We’ll make a plan for those who have neither.
For those who would like to go on ahead, take the Newcastle Road up to the first robot and turn left. The Ponds are about 6.5kms from the robot and are signposted.
Bring your usual accoutrements, something to eat and drink as birding can be thirsty work!!
This is a special outing, so whatever happens, don’t miss it!!!
