What the Fair is all about:-

To create awareness and interest in all the “old skills” which are still being practiced today.  An excellent opportunity for the exhibitors to sell their creations. To promote as many NATURAL FIBRES as possible, so we can also do our bit in lessening our “carbon foot-print”. Anyone who would also like to demonstrate their skills will be a most welcome exhibitors. All weavers, lace makers, quilters, knitters, embroiderers, spinners, crocheters, fabric painters, natural fibre dyers, felters etc., are welcome. Anyone with cleaned and carded fleece has an opportunity to sell their fibre. An event for the Guilds to attract new members, and network with like- minded people. The consumer is becoming increasingly aware of the origin of products, how, and from what materials, they are made.

(WEDNESDAY APRIL 27TH IS A PUBLIC HOLIDAY)

The venue will be open on Friday 22rd April from 2.00p.m. – 4.00p.m. for those who would like to set up early. This is a secure alarmed venue.

Parking is in the church grounds with easy access to the halls.

Entrance fee: R15.00 per visitor.

Homemade cakes, scones, Boerewors hotdogs, cold drinks, tea and coffee etc.

Bookings will open 2nd January 2016. Fees are not refundable IF cancelled less than four weeks PRIOR to the event. Exhibitors are kindly reminded to keep their products as NATURAL FIBRE as possible to enable us to maintain the integrity of the Fair.  Also it is important that the Fair continues up until the advertised time so it will be appreciated that exhibitors do not dismantle their tables until 3.0p.m. Thank you for your cooperation.

There are lots of self-catering cottages, B & B’s and the Country Inn Hotel in this beautiful little village in Mpumalanga. It is only 3hours drive from Johannesburg and Pretoria. We also boast an internationally recognized birder’s paradise for Wetland birds. SA Birdlife has a base in Wakkerstroom.
